Natural hurr’ Update! :)

Hey Tumblr family! I have been away for a while now. I’m sorry, have been busy but I’m back! Good news is that my hair has grown so i am able to do more styles…I will defiantly upload pictures when I get a chance for my naturalista family!..This month [May 2011] will make me 10 months =D I’m currently about to try a new style that i haven’t done and i will post pictures sooooo stay tuned!

Wash & Go NYC?!

Hmmm… BEAUTIFUL weather in NYC today for a Co-Wash and a Wash and Go! Even though i’ve been going them all winter in cold weather lol My mom always yells at me for that but guess what!? I haven’t gotten sick at all this winter!!! *knocks on wood* LOL

What everyone seems to forget is that the Haitians abolished slavery in DR, these actions enabled the lower class to own land. Spain tried to re establish slavery in DR during 1822 but Haitian President Jean-Pierre Boyer sent an army to fight Spain’s attempts to recolonize DR. The Haitians were successful and once again abolished slavery (for the second time). Dominicans (as a whole) lack confidence and pride in their African ancestry. This fact is the only reason why DR submitted itself to Spain’s rule for 72 years during the 19th century (Ya would rather face colonization and enslavement AGAIN than be associated with your black side?). You guys are begging for the attention of a step parent who doesn’t even want you unless its for physical labor purposes. Nothing about DR’s culture says Spain except the language. The food, music, and spirituality are all African based, with the exception of a few Taino (who for the most part were killed by disease or murder) influences on the whole island. Know some history the next time you pop open that Brugal and celebrate “freedom”."

Kinky Curly Custard- KCCC Yayy!? or Nayy!?

So I bought KCCC about 2 months after I big chopped because I heard so many great reviews. After I tried it the 1st time I did not like it. I didn’t see anything specific that it did for my hair. It seemed like Eco Styler gel was more effective. Since I spent $16 on KCCC i told myself i would wait tiIl my hair was longer to try it again…

….5 Months Later:

So Now that I am currently 7 month natural, my hair is obviously a bit longer. I decided to give KCCC another try. I did a wash and go on Thursday, February 16, 2012. As I was applying the product I did not really like how the outcome was looking once again. I felt that the Eco Styler Gel gave me a better curl definition (I have 4b-4c hair). But still I applied it to my whole head then styled it and went out.

Day 2 of KCCC…

OMG I have to say that KCCC definitely proved itself to me! On day 2 my hair felt sooooooo soft! When I woke up, all I did was spray my hair with my water and olive oil mix. I hair was AMAZINGLY SOFT! I didn’t like it on day 1 because (a) it took too long to dry and (b) it was soo sticky…I hated the feeling. As I’m writing this, February 21, I must say that it is day 5 and my hair is STILL SOFT! Wow! My curls are still defined and all I have to do is sprtiz my hair with my water and olive oil mix, give my hair a still shake and i’m out the door!

VERDICT:—->YAYYY!!!…

This is just my opinion of KCCC. Let me know how you feel about it and if you’ve never tried it, I recommend you should. Because unlike Eco Styler which I LOVE, it does dry my hair out. HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? ASK! PLEASE DON’T BE AFRAID! LOL
